What do you do with 190 million?

What do you do with 190 million?

On Friday August 10th, a single EuroMillions winner won 190 million euros. This amount is the new record from creating Euromillions, on February 13, 2004, and exceeded the previous record of 185 million.

Think for a moment how you can change your life ...

Will all joy? ...

Surely not. In fact, many large American lucky sweepstakes have ended their lives almost as miserable, drug addicts, depressed, betrayed and almost alone.

One thing is that you touch a enough money to ease your economic tensions, pay your mortgage, buy an apartment on the beach, a new car, a vacation, help parents or siblings, a gap year off work ... All this is achieved with lower awards one million euros.

But with 190 million euros, your life will undergo a big change if you are not prepared, psyched and really, if you have your feet on the ground.

I will continue to say, before it happens you have to be ready for it.

All the best to everyone, but I think if you win an award of this nature will transform your life into a nightmare, fortune will not touch you. Particularly, I think very few are prepared to properly assimilate and make good use of many millions.

Good luck to everyone  for the next week and hopefully the winner was someone who can manage money with dignity and ethics.

Is it convenient to say publicly that you won the Euromillions?

Well, there was the ticket of 190 million euros!!

The lucky have been an English family who have chosen to say publicly through a press conference. In different media have published their names and seen pictures and videos of this couple giving and celebrating his fortune.

Being English, the award has not been given in euros but its equivalent, for the currency exchange, which was of 148.6 million pounds.

But, Is it convenient say publicly that you just won a big jackpot EuroMillions?

In the case of this English family, I think they have been carried away by the euphoria and joy of the moment but it seems to me they had never thought what is most convenient in these cases.

From my point of view, I think the four winds announce this sort of thing can only spell trouble for the lucky.

How many celebrities, businessmen and footballers have suffered the kidnapping of family members, have been scammed, have received bribes, etc. by envy or greed of others?

If I think about the pros and cons of saying publicly that has touched a big EuroMillions jackpot, at first I can think of more cons than pros, but let's see:

Consider first the 'pros':

  • A bonus would be that you mention it once and avoid the gossip, rumors and others that would arise among family, friends, neighbors and acquaintances. Everyone would know the reason for all the upcoming changes that will occur in your life.
  • People will stop you on the street, greet you, be famous, will talk to you and you favor that financial advisors, asset managers and all types of commercial approach you to sell you their services.

Consider now the 'cons':

  • Your identity is public for good people but also for all types of offenders. Here come the fear of kidnappings, threats, extortion, blackmail, etc..
  • Envy of all kinds. If das, das why, if you do not give, why not give. Some as simple as it would have paid to two cups and the other one. Maybe the envy of strangers not affect you at all but if they come from family and friends can affect you much assumptions.
  • Loss of privacy. Everything you say and do can be used against you. People will judge everything you do. They talk a lot about you and you can not walk around your neighborhood life without someone pointing and muttered.

Publicize this option could be feasible for very extroverted, who crave to be the center of attention, being famous and like others talk about them.

But for much of the mortals, the shy, introverted and reserved may prefer not to say publicly and minimize the expectation as far as possible. In the latter case there is an additional advantage that does not exist in the first case...  you are always in time to make it public when you consider appropriate.

As for the lucky Englishmen have won, I would like to congratulate you and I hope that they will use their money with ethic and wisdom.

Largest singles Euromillions winners

What have been the biggest winners of the Euromillions?

The highest award that has divided the EuroMillions draw was 190 million euros which was a single winner.

Can you imagine more than one hundred million in your pocket?

Every time I think about it, it makes my skin crawl.

The higher premiums divided by the EuroMillions are as follows:

A normal person, with a median salary of € 25,000.00 gross per year, can be considered a lucky guy in these times of crisis. However, based on countless sacrifices will save at most about three or four thousand euros per year after deducting current expenses like paying the rent or mortgage, electricity, water, gas, telephone, clothes, food, a whim. .. Then, in a thousand years would save only about 3 million euros (regardless concepts and interest that would raise the money and the concept of inflation that would reduce the purchasing power end, so if the performance was similar interest period of inflation, the real purchasing power would be similar to the original).

If stopping to think ... Do you know what they are really about 100 million to a person accustomed to win Euro 1500?

Especially now that, as my friends, most people scream over and over again:

"There are too many days at the end of the payslip!"

The best moment to check your ticket - euromillions

In conversations with friends, I often ask them when they check their tickets.
The most common answers are:
  • On the day of the draw, being at home with the family, right after dinner and before going to sleep.
  • Do not check it until I go to the lottery office and ask them to look if you prize.
  • In the press the next day, having coffee at any bar.
  • At work, with colleagues.
  • Any day of the week at night before going to sleep.
  • Before getting to work, so I can turn around and not enter.
  • On the internet, any day after the day of the draw.
  • As soon as I can, do not waste time.
  • etc ...
Reflecting a bit, there are two key factors important to choose the right moment and the right place before checking the ticket:
Once you've found, in most cases, you will not have any awards and this is going to create a little frustration.
Do you want to let others know that you are holding a piece of paper that is worth 30 million euros example?
Well, if we analyze the above issues, I recommend:
The best time to check the Euromillions ticket, in my point of view, is the day you go to buy another ticket, and always being alone, never in a lottery, or in a bar-restaurant, or in front of someone.
Why this reasoning?
First, if the Tuesday night made a draw and you see that has not touched you, you will go to bed frustrated, pissed you arise to go to work, etc.. and you'll never have the feeling that you can be a billionaire again until you buy another ticket. Particularly when I brought a ticket two or three weeks without checking it, I was happy for two weeks thinking I could be a millionaire.
Secondly, I recommend being alone when you check in online, newspaper or other. If anyone knows that so and so has touched the EuroMillions, without any bad intention, it will be impossible to shut up and within hours it will be known by the bar people, the housewife, the fruit bowl ... whole neighborhood!!!
It is highly desirable that in times of economic crisis the whole neighborhood knows it, at least before you cashed the ticket and take the money safe.
So look for the day and the right time. When you find it, check your ticket and ...
Best of luck!!!

The reason for creating this blog

The truth is that almost never play EuroMillions. When I work because I have not time and if not, because I have to take the car to go specifically to the lottery and it's so far... I'm not going to specifically go right?

Anyway, the day I spend in front of a lottery, my feet are stuck in front of the poster to see the "EUROMILLIONS JACKPOT - THIS WEEK".

As my grandmother says: "Don't play, it always touches your refund" and I am completely convinced of that. Grandparents are very clever. So, if I see that poster in that week there that the boat is 15 or 20 millions euros, I order my feet to continue walking. I tell myself: "not worth spending 2 euros for so little money." Although the feet take me walking, as if the head is in front of the poster to tarry for several days.

So if I pass another day repeat the same action.

If there is the minimum jackpot, I keep walking ... but if I see a top jackpot of 30, 40, 50 or 60 million euros ... I go in and say:

"Please EuroMillions column!"

If you stop to think, pay 2 euros for being happy and excited all week is really a bargain. If you do not agree, think what is going to the movies between tickets and popcorn for two hours or less fun. Seen this way, the EuroMillions gives you a whole week of fantasy, illusion and joy thinking you would do if you won the EuroMillions.

Very few things are clear when you ask: What would you do if you won 50 or 60 million in the Euromillions? Most people will say, "Buff ... I don't know what to do, no idea"

And this is the motivation for write this blog.

Let's dream (it's free) and if one day... We should or we must prepare us for this situation.
